Types of beneficiaries under the ehsas emergency Cash Program

Beneficiaries for this emergency cash program are divided into two main categories; people from the first category are those 45 lac users who are already registered under the ehsaas kafalat program. Those people will get a total of PKR 3000 for the next four months.

On the other hand, the second category comprises 75 lac people who are newly registered under this emergency cash program. These people will be able to get a grant of PKR 12000 altogether.

How are beneficiaries identified?

Beneficiaries are identified on the basis of their involvement in social & national surveys. A team will conduct a door-to-door survey to collect the data which is then further verified by NADRA. This in turn will ensure that only the deserving people are selected and benefited from the program.

According to the data, people can be classified under three categories such as follows;

  1. People who are already registered via the ehsas kafalat program
  2. People who are already registered in the national socio-economic Registry (NSER)
  3. People who are yet to be reviewed

Even though the budget for the emergency cash program is fixed, states can select more people to help and support but their name must be enlisted in the record. Similarly, all the payments will be cleared after the biometric verification of beneficiaries which will be conducted by the partnership of banks and NADRA.
